Just think how colorful I will be when I turn 60

Today's Manic Monday theme is "Colorful".
Since I can't think of anything to say, I'm posting some colorful pictures instead. The colorful sweater one is me when I was maybe 4 or 5 years old. That was back when candy bars were only 20 cents, and gas was less than 75 cents a gallon.
I had no idea what "dietary fiber" was, nor did I have any clue that it might become important in the next third-of-a-century.
I'd never scooped any cat poop yet, McDonalds cherry pies were deep-fried, and the Internet (as we know it) didn't even exist.
Neither did cell phones.

Then I became old...
Ok, ok, I became a person in my 30's.
Soon to be 40's.
I now occasionally eat multi-grain crackers, low-fat milk, and shredded wheat with bran.
I've scooped more cat turds than I care to remember.
My heart has been broken so many times I've built a little fortress around it. But don't worry; the fortress is made of 100% recycled materials and is completely biodegradable.
I try to keep the mildew to an absolute minimum.

I have learned about hellish things like bureaucracy, disease, politics, and being put on hold for an hour while desperately waiting for a customer service representative who actually understands what I'm talking about.

On the bright side, I still think farts are funny.
Surely that's worth something.

Gas was that cheap once upon a time wasn't it...and can you imagine a time without internet?!?!

Bear: They're so colorful, sometimes I even spell it with a "u".

CWM: I would curl up and die without the Internet. I get chills just thinking about it.

I remember when gas was (gasp!) 29 cents a gallon. My 1972 Duster could not hold 5 bucks worth of uber premium, even if it was almost empty.

Forgot to say, farts always were, and always will be, funny.

Morgian: LOL!

DaOldMan: Those were the days!

Let me just say what a cute fart you were at 4!!!

Steve: I wish people would say that about me now, at the ripe old age of 38...

And you can have TACOs any time you want. That's the true reward for getting older.

I came to the conclusion it isn't what you eat, but how you eat it. When I started putting too much weight on, I split my meals from 3 a day, to 5 much smaller ones.
Same food, slightly healthier in preparation, and a balance of all major food types every day.
I got back to my original weight in no time, and as I changed permanently, the weight stayed off.
Oh, and it never affected the wind :-)

And then 50's and soon to be 60's!

And what Steven said!

I love your hair.

Travis: So true!

Anthony: So if I eat a pound of chocolate five times a day, that's better than eating five pounds of chocolate all at once? Just a sec... lemme test that...

Wayne: Steve is very wise! Usually. :)

Marilyn: I love those ringlets too. :) See how cute I used to be?

While I despise the word itself, the aural quality of a well-timed flatulent episode has a special little place in my feart.

Whall: You despise the word? Really? What a shame... It's one of my favorites. So much humor crammed into four tiny letters. :)
