Janku

Today I unveil a new form of poetry.
It's three lines long.
The first line has four vowels.
The second line has six vowels,
and the third line has eight vowels.
"Y" does not count as a vowel here. Only A E I O U.
I think I'll call it a Janku.

Here are some examples:

_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_

Bambi smells rank
At the roadside
Looks like the Lexus won

_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_

It's a bad thing
Leaving yogurt in
Your closet for a year

_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_

You don't know
How easy it is to
Pee in a police car

_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_

Watch your back
I have sharp objects
Stay on my good side.. Heh heh.

_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_

Officer, no!
Take off the handcuffs
I am SO misunderstood

_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_^*^_

Love the poetry.
Very interesting blog. I had some fun reading and looking for "Janna" took up a lot of time. This makes looking for "Waldo" look easy. I'm looking forward to reading more poems.
Have a great day!

Shirley: Thanks for visiting! Come back soon!

Fab: You're just bitter because you didn't think of it first. :)

Not many can have an entire genre of poetry named after themselves.

Well...

...I guess they can if they are the ones who name it after themselves.

Hehehehehehehehe

Syllables are so arbitrary. I like the vowel thing better.

Travis: See? You could invent something called "Travku"! Or a "Tronnet"!

Marilyn: Yay!

Marilyn said...

Tronnet and Janku both sound so good compaired with Mariliku or Marilinet which sounds like a puppet.

Marilyn: It DOES sound like a puppet.... ok, how about a marilymerick?

Hey, I'll do that when I can't think of something else to blog about. That sounds like fun.

Why do none of the commenters ever join in on your jantics? Now I need to make up some rules for "whallku" on my own blog, but in the meantime, I'll play along with your janku rules.

"Where's my bukket!?!?!"
That dang walrus gets me,

Calloused fingers.

What's that sound?
Moo. Bark. Meow. Ba.
Onomatopoeia!

Be careful,
If that Obama wins,
2nd amendment out the window.

I am SO sorry,
If janku jives not
With political beliefs.

Marilyn: Excellent!

Whall: Finally! I was wondering why no one was joining in! My favorite is the one about Onomatopoeia. (Even if you did have to shorten the sheep's "Baa") LOL. :)
