Manic Monday: Green

The Manic Monday theme is "Green", so I made some pictures for the occasion.

I enjoy making pictures like these.
In fact, I love it. It's very cathartic.
It would be nice if I could make a living from it.
Blog banners, buttons, altered graphics, backgrounds, computer wallpaper, e-mail stationery.... I can do this, people. I've been doing it for years. I was doing this even before I got into blogging. Now that I'm part of the blogosphere, it comes in handy because I make all my own blog banners and backgrounds. It's frustrating when I see other people making a living doing something I would LOVE to be doing. I feel like a mom-and-pop business which is being drowned out by Wal-Mart.

Didn't you do Steve's banner, over at Get Your Blog On? I think I remember him mentioning it in a post. What do you charge? ... Sheesh, I know that's like asking what's a sign cost and not saying what kind of sign, but I'm mostly clueless here.

Awesome!! I really love these--have a great Monday!

Very nice indeed, but I prefer orange, lol ! Only like green grass or nature but otherwise I am not a green fan !

It's all in the advertising my dear. You have a talent for creative graphic design, now you just need to be an expert at promoting your skills.

Those are beautiful and you have real talent.

These are very creative! I have no clue how you were able to do such great work ... but, I admire it very much and look forward to learning more abou the Jannaverse!

What is stopping you, my dear? What is preventing you from hanging out your shingle?

I think you should learn html and css as well--you're smart! You could be knocking out stuff just like Peggy and other designers. Plus you have something they don't--you're weird.

Animated buttons--people love those!

I would love to be able to do all that stuff, but I don't have the time, attention span, or brainpower. But YOU do!

I would pay for stuff like this too! If I wasn't a cheap skate.

Put yourself out there. I bet you would get some bites.

Hmph! I was going to email you something and I don't see an email address.

I totally agree with Mr. Fab. What's stopping you? You have your own unique style that sets it apart from others. At least give it the good old college try, hey?

Have a great week!

Lovely...have a great MM. *hugs from OK*

I'm sure you could make a living doing it. You just have to find a way to get the word out big time. I have no idea how you would do that, but it is doable.

It's not easy being green....

... or talented with no marketing plan.

Ya computer graphics are fun. I just really wish I could find the energy to do more with it than just advertising for Melon Cutter Industries.

You have a good talent there. Put yourself on the market. Get your name out there. Become rich.

Adopt me.

I am cheap.

pretty easy too.

Later Y'all

See, people are asking for price lists - what a great way to start!
Banners by Janners.
Er, I mean Bannas by Jannas.
Janna's Banners?

Jannaverse Bannerverse?

Orange you glad I didn't say banana?

Okay, honey, just trying to put a smile on your face!

Marilyn: Yes! I did Steve's banner; thanks for remembering! :) I'm currently working on another site that will hopefully help market things a little better. Stay tuned!

Tegdirb: Thanks for liking my work! :)

Gattina: Welllll, the MM theme today is "Green", so that's why you're seeing green instead of orange! :)

Travis: It's frustrating, because I see other people getting promoted on other sites!!!

Jamie: Aww, thank you! :)

Villager: Thank you so much!

Mr Fab: I need help promoting this, Fab. A lot of help. I need help getting more clients. Help!!

Lynda: You're a cheapskate? Really? Quit it, dammit! :)
...BTW, my e-mail address is in the sidebar of my profile. Drink some caffiene and look again. :)

Lizza: Never agree with Fab. It only encourages him.

Comedy+: Glad you like them! It makes me feel better to see all this positive feedback from people!

Rebecca: Thank you! Glad you stopped by!

Natalie: My plan is to murder all the competition, then blog from prison.

Morgen: Help!! I need a hug!

Matt-man: LOL... (*groan*)

Mz. Jackson: Thanks for the praise! And thanks for visiting! :)

Michele: I need help! In more ways than one!

Danielle: I'm working on a site right now... rather than answer each inquiry individually, I'll send people to a central location which will answer the basics... stay tuned.

Meloncutter: If I ever get rich, I promise to buy you a package of cheap burritos.

My water doesn't have caffeine, but maybe my hot chocolate did.

I found it though! Yay, me!!

Don't short-change yourself; there's nothing "pseudo" about your art! I think you're pretty darned good!

Janna said...

Lynda: Chocolate has caffeine! That counts!

Amazing Gracie: Thank you. :) It's good to see that so many people have liked these. I'm really glad.
