Further thoughts about yesterday's stuff
Sequel to yesterday's post (with pictures which actually correspond to what I'm writing about!)
1. "Morgiana le fey" left a humorous comment which mentioned an unfortunate gastrointestinal incident involving Jalapeno Krunchers (potato chips). Sorry to hear about that! Feel free to blog about the remainder of the story... I think. :) Anyway, it reminded me that I have half a bag of my own Jalapeno Krunchers right here next to the computer! Thank goodness they don't seem to "affect" me in the same way! (Remind me not to sit next to Morgian at ABC group next week!) LOL :)
Jalapeno Krunchers are good and "sort of maybe slightly a LITTLE on the hot side," but barely. Not really hot, despite what the words on the bag try to tell you. (Hint: The more a product tries to "warn" you about how hot and spicy it is, the less likely it is to actually deliver on its promise).
2. Morgen asked what a "babydoll top" is.
Here's a picture of one. The bottom is very full, and there's a high seam across the middle. It can have any kind of sleeves or neckline. The one I mentioned has shorter sleeves and a cute zipper down the front. It's a bubble-gum shade of pink. VERY comfortable. I also have them in aqua and black. Perfect for a casual day of driving around or staying home or going to a band rehearsal...
3. The reason I haven't indulged in the "lime sherbet with cherry topping" craving is because I can't find the cherry topping. I want that yummy sweet/tart cherry stuff that gets put atop sundaes-- which is not the same as cherry pie filling. Unfortunately, all I can find is cherry pie filling right now.
I did a google search to find a picture of the kind of stuff I'm looking for, and found some bottles that were labelled as "Sour cherry jam and dessert topping"... so maybe I could try hunting for some cherry preserves or jam? That would be the consistency I'm looking for... Hmmmm.

You know,,,if you google for cherry sundae topping, you're 10th on the results.
I guess if you can't find it...make it!
1 can (16 oz.) pitted tart cherries, undrained
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
dash of salt
DRAIN liquid from cherries, reserving 1/2 cup of the liquid. Pour liquid into small saucepan.
ADD sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt; mix well. Cook on medium heat until clear and thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in cherries; cool.
STORE in tightly covered container in refrigerator
Cincy Diva: LOL! Yes! Thank you. :)
i love baby doll tops!
well i don't personally wear them...
Wait...
So what's a babydoll top? ;)
Steve~
cincy cincy cincy...
giving Janna a recipe is like giving me a calculus math problem = nothing's ever gonna happen with it!
Nice try, though. I personally told her to just buy some cherry pie filling and get over it.
onionboy: sure, sure, sure.
Morgen: Hey!!! I have been known to actually complete a few recipes in my life... I AM capable of cooking things. I just... um... usually... don't. But I bet if ya added up the number of things I've cooked, and the number of calculus problems you've done, I'd still win! :)
And I repeat, cherry pie filling is NOT the same thing as cherry sundae topping!
holy crap! thats *two* mentions in your recent blogs! i feel so loved!
and janna, you better get some lime sherbert, because i'm going to make you this cherry topping and bring it to you on tuesday!
There had better be a review of the lime sherbet/cherry topping event on le blog! We need to know the outcome!
