Try some of those 14,375 Facebook friends you've never met

"I cleaned the toilet today."

"Ugh."

"Exactly. Afterward, I decided that nobody is allowed to use our toilet ever again.  That way we'll never have to clean it again."

"Wait... then how do we..."

"We'll be visiting a lot of friends about three times a day."

"Here's hoping they're still our friends after taco night."
. One of the drawbacks to living alone is that you are the only person who's around to clean the toilet. (The cats somehow get out of it by pointing out that they have no opposable thumbs.)

Today I finally talked myself into it.
Feeling generous, I also scooped the litter box.

I tried explaining to the cats that I wouldn't have to scoop so often if they would simply stop pooping, but all they did was laugh at me before leaning around to lick themselves.

Anyway, for the time being, the cats and I both have clean toilets.

Have a nice weekend, and remember: visit LOTS of friends after taco night.

Smiling after reading this ~ I am always tidying up the bathroom before and after using it ~ And to think that I am not living alone, but with 4 other peeps ~

Ha ha...but with only one person using a toile, surely it can't be very difficult to clean. Smiles.

I'm for any method that will cut down on housework :)

love the title - looks like you shouldn't run out of friends for a day or two, even if every night is taco night ;)

In my dream universe, my utopia, I share a bathroom with NO ONE, not even a litterbox.

That's It!!!!
Use the litter box !!
That way the toilet will never get dirty. (Mr. Knowitall Baby!)
Loved your Potty Time 55
Thanks for playing, You are like finding a FULL can of Glade Potpourri in the bathroom vanity of your best friends house after dropping a deuce in her crapper.

LOL @ Galen's suggestion. My cats are giggling, too, because we all know cats are big on sharing. :)

Yeah, I always feel like I need one of those sanitary strips to put across the toilets after I clean them...like I dare anyone in the house to remove those strips! :)

Grace: Four other people? Yikes! You definitely need to use the "visit friends" method.

Mary: You'd be surprised!

Nara: Exactly!

turtlememoir: Oh, I don't have anywhere near 14,375 Facebook friends. I forget how many, but it's well under 50. I rarely go to Facebook anyway, so I never felt the need to accumulate a bunch of "friends" there. After this post, though, maybe I should re-think things...

brandi: Sounds perfect!

G-Man: I'd use the litter box if only I didn't have to scoop it eventually... (!)

TALON: LOL! Yes, those sanitary strips would be fun to use if you lived with a bunch of other people. There's always the chance that the first person would feel a tiny bit of guilt for undoing all your hard work.

mmm taco night....esp with the hot peppers to give it a little extra heat to cook with...

Janna said...

Brian: Yes! The hotter the better. Always! :)

One of the signs of attaining adulthood is recognizing the inevitability of the toilet-cleaning cycle, and its logical imperatives. I salute you, and also applaud your creativity at trying to avoid them.

If you intend to use the toilets of all those friends, I suspect you'll do some traveling.

Janna said...

hedgewitch: Thank you for the applause. *takes bow*

Alice: Honest, I really don't have that many!

Ha ha. I truly began to appreciate my mother after living on my own for a few months. I use those "blue" things to help clean during the week and gives me an allusion of tropical waters... Very funny and I HATE cleaning shower curtains, garbage disposals, and underneath the kitchen garbage can lid (I have to have one to keep the dogs & cats out.

Janna said...

Margaret: Funny you should mention the blue water tablets. I just put one in today. Except instead of the blue water version, I put in a bleach version. Colorless, but makes everything that much cleaner (I hope).
