After the first three hours, it needed more salt
"Here's your soup," she said, handing him the bowl.
"Thanks. I'm going to eat it outside."
"But wait, it's raining out there. It's supposed to rain all day."
"Exactly. If I stand out in the rain and eat the soup really slowly, the bowl will stay full forever."
"You're strange, y'know that?"
"No. Just hungry."

you know that is not a half bad idea...and if you are hungry enough its better than just settling for eating the rain...

Yes, strange--hungry or not. Nice one, Janna--but I actually rolled at the list below this esp #4.
Ingenuity plus hunger makes for a watered down dinner.
LOL, creative.
So, I'm thinking you may have started with a chowder and ended with a consommé?
Brian: Exactly! Plus, rain doesn't have very much protein at all. Or fiber.
Olivia: I intended for it to be humorous, but after re-reading it a few times I guess I can see how it might be a sad story about a hungry person. :( It was meant to be silly, I promise. :)
G-Man: Ah! If only I liked margaritas. Tequila kinda grosses me out because of the worm. :P
PBJdreamer: Thank you! :)
MamaZen: I try!
MonkeyMan: And you have to keep heating it up every few minutes.
Alice: Very!
hedgewitch: I'm glad someone read the list. Not many comments on it, I see... :(
Belinda: Words to live by!
SteveIsaak: Thank you! :)
nonamedufus: Think of it as an ever-changing kaleidoscope of textures and temperatures.
