It's only a matter of time....

Things that make deer want to run into traffic:

1. Not hugged enough as a fawn

2. Believing the turkey's rumor that people really want venison this year

3. Realizing they're not really saving money on car insurance despite switching to Geico

4. Depressed about lack of blog comments

5. Trying to save the possum that owed them twenty bucks

I pick #4. It's enough to send me into the streets, why not them?

Hey, Janna, did you get this out of my local newspaper? I heard the other day that the largest insurance claims in my county are for car versus deer assaults.

Ha ha! Thanks for making me laugh.

the third time is a charm...

Oh I pick number # 1 everyone always blames their parents, sigh, .... besides it sure beats 2. Believing the turkey's rumor that people really want venison this year.... now that would be scary...poor turkey poor deer...double sigh, think I will stick to eating beans and a vegan soy turkey however, I haven't figured out how to carve it?
cheers,
joanny

Why did the chicken cross the road?

To prove to the possum that it was indeed possible!

Funny 55, Janna!

G-Man: Is this one foody? Well, I guess there was that part about the venison... :)

Alice: Me too!

Enchanted Oak: Maybe! :) We've had a lot of car/deer accidents over here too. Makes me worried about driving at night, though I guess it can happen in the daytime too.

Belinda: I try!

Joanny: Even a dull plastic knife can carve vegan soy turkey. :) Go on, try it. Be sure to blog about it afterward. :)

Brian: Wait! Wait!

Austin: Thanks for visiting!

Eric: If only the possum was still alive to learn the lesson!

Oh, yeah, sign me up for #4 too. Sometimes, it's a little like shouting down a well. I'm really glad a few of my friends are down there to shout back.

Happy weekend!

what about us encroaching their territory and WE running into them?

Janna said...

MonkeyMan: They claim it's because of not having opposable thumbs, but I never believe them.

Patti: Happy weekend to you too!

Steve: And making them into venison sausage which goes really well with cheese and crackers at a picnic!

Lulda: Steve is funny! :)

Mona: The forests are their territory. The roads are our territory. I realize they didn't get a chance to read the memo about that.
