Best of all, he came with a side of hush puppies

Once upon a time there was a codfish named Trent.
Trent daydreamed of taking over the world and having an army of rhinoceroses.
Unfortunately, before his evil plans could be realized, he ended up deep fried on a combination platter.
And he was delicious, even though the person who ate him was allergic to seafood.

At least the person who ate him won't soon forget Trent!

Funny 55, Janna!

Honestly. What's wrong with all these people that NO ONE was at all concerned about the army of rhinoceroses???

I love that Trent got a little payback action! Fun 55! (however - not so fun for the Trent eater!)

Hate fish, love hush puppies. Feel as though I was sucked in with a promise of corn . . . oh wait, I got corn. This was one of the corniest things I've read today. Huzzah! You win! Great 55.

Curiously, the city of Trent is located in Italy in the large valley of the Adige between Verona and Bolzano. Even more curious, though, is that a local delicacy there is polenta di patate(potato polenta).

To make the dish, yellow corn flour is sautéed with onion and then added to a saucepan containing a few peeled and cooked potatoes. The whole mixture is stirred together until a very soft kind of polenta-mashed potato mix is obtained. When it is cooked, the potato polenta is served hot with a sauce made from offal or, more simply, with raw salamis and soft cheeses. Occasionally also with fried fish and dried salted codfish.

It really is a small world, isn't it, Janna?

This reminds me of the Sponge Bob episode where the fat flies into the stadium crowd, turning the onlookers into fish sticks. :)

Sadly, these things happen.

A Daft Scots Lass: I love irony!

BrianMiller: Revolutionary fish are good with just a hint of lemon pepper.

G-Man: I hate tartar sauce, but I'm still going to take that as a compliment anyway. :)

joanny: Welcome! Thanks for visiting!

Claudia: It's easier if you close your eyes before you start chewing.

nonamedufus: LOL! And was that your "sole" reason for visiting?

Eric Alder: He always wanted to be remembered...

PattiKen: Shocking, isn't it?

MonkeyMan: I think gluten allergies are next... watch out for the army of breadsticks.

TALON: Let this be a lesson to all the megalomaniacal Trents out there.

gospelwriter: I try! :)

Cheryl: I love fish AND hush puppies. In fact, I had some just last night! :)

MikeWJ: But do they deep fry the polenta? You HAVE to deep fry it. It's the law. Or at least I daydream about it being the law.

Someone Is Special: Delicious hush puppies, anyway! :) Thanks for visiting!

Jannie Funster: I love Spongebob!

MamaZen: All too often, sadly. Especially the part about the rhinoceroses.

Technically speaking, if he came with a side of Hush Puppies, shouldn't he be sole, not cod?
