Get ready, get set.....
It's the last day of the year!
Hurry! There might still be time to do all those things you promised yourself you'd start doing last January, like stop smoking, lose eighty pounds, learn German, train your dog to fetch, write a novel, learn to play the flute, find true love, throw out all your old ratty underwear, clean out the freezer, get a new exciting fulfilling job, return all those library books, learn sign language, take a trip to the Bahamas, stop biting your nails, and get that weird rash checked out.
Just think of the sense of accomplishment you'll have afterward.
If you start now, you might even be able to read Moby Dick too.

Stopped smokin' back in '98 :)
Lost the 80lbs. in '86( tho' malaria did play a part in that )...
Ich bin einen Rheinlander!
Still writing the novel...
True love? HA!
Ratty undies?...er...um...never mind...
But Ijust filled the freezer!
Working on the job thing...
All books are returned :)
Can't sign amd missed the Bahamas run back in '88(waaaah!)...
How'd you know I was biting my finger nails?
It was the soap! I swear!
Gee, guess I've got to make a new list...NOT!
Have a most joyous and fruitful New Year, Janna. HUGS!
LMAO! at Subby! hahaha!
The only way that I could read Moby Dick before the new year would be if I bought the Cliff Note version, and then I probably still would not make it.
I have lost 80 lbs, 3 different times in my life.
Call me Ishmael....
Quick Janna, who portrayed two different characters in two different movie versions of Moby Dick? Clew #1: it was not a role reprisal...
Clew #2: one version was made for T.V.
More than I really want to know about whales - Happy New Year Janna
Well, my blog roll starts anew tomorrow. I'd be honored if you participate again in 2010. Leave a comment and you're on the blog roll! Thanks for visiting and commenting in 2009.
How did you happen to know my exact New Year's resolutions?! lol
I may need a vacation after a month of doing all that. Maybe an 11 month vacation.
Happy New Year!
Subby: You've been busy!
Otin: 80 pounds, three times? Wow. I respect that. Really. Even if you mean you lost and gained the same 80 pounds each time, that's still a lot of work. Kudos.
Subby: I have no clue (or clew)... never seen Moby Dick in a movie (or TV), never read the book, never read the Cliff Notes. Never felt the need to. So, off the top of my head, I'll just guess Lassie. No, wait... Oprah. Andy Dick? C-3PO?
Grace: Same to you! :)
VE: Yay!
Lidian: Vacation sounds good!
ACH!
Subby: Maybe it was Captain Kirk...
Janna, we-eelll, the actor in question did play Cap'n Ahab in the early version...but it wasn't Shatner( Shatner was still a struggling fledgling in the theatre!! )
Subby: Honest, I've no clue. Barney the dinosaur? Martha Stewart? Barry White? Oscar the Grouch? Ed McMahon? Mark Twain? Mr. Potato Head? Satan? Adam Sandler? Amelia Earhart? Scrooge McDuck?
***SIGH*** you young'uns...actually I'm not that far ahead of you but I'm an old movie freak. 'Twas Gregory Peck. He played Cap'n Ahab in the original 1950's version and Father Mapple in the 1997 USA-TV version...in any case, I suggest the book first ;)
I've already done all those things. 2010 is going to be sooooo boring!
Subby: It's ok. I believe you. :)
MikeWJ: You did? What did the rash end up being?
Athlete's foot. Only it wasn't on my foot.
MikeWJ: Ah. Now I have to do something to make that mental image go away... and I won't be able to eat meatball subs for awhile.
