And then we're having formaldehyde for dinner

"It's evil!" The crazy man shouted. "With artificial chemicals and toxins and unnatural colors and preservatives which make nature scream in horror. You should eat fruits and vegetables; they're the true pathway to good health!"

Ed shook his head and rolled his eyes.
"I think I'd rather just go eat these Fruity Pebbles someplace else."

LOL. I suppose it might seem unnatural to eat rocks for breakfast.

Well, I've had better, and I've had worse--than pebbles for breakfast.

Talk about a "crazy man", I know a lot of them, in fact I AM one.

I'll bet you could write a good poem

I so love your sense of humor. You got me going. I know you have already read my 55. but for others. My 55 is HERE. Shameless self promotion....pretty sad, huh.

Alice: But they're part of a balanced breakfast! :)

SteveE: Sometimes I do write poems. :) Some are serious, some are silly. I post the silly ones here, and they don't seem to be all that popular, judging from the amount of comments I get. :( But they're still fun to write.

MonkeyMan: Shameless self-promotion is totally ok on Fridays. :)

I like your style!!

I did figure out the link thing but I was a little rushed last night. I am an addicted blogger! LOL! I had to do a post on my main blog. I put the flash 55 together at the last minute.

Love the sense of humor in your 55 today Janna. Never did like Fruity Pebbles ~ Lucky Charms...that's a different story. But today, the healthy adult in me will reach for organic granola most mornings. But every now and again.......

Thanks for stopping by my place earlier.

This is my second Fruity Pebbles reference in less than 24 hours. I think I'm going to go buy a box!

Yay! Fruity Pebbles for EVERYONE!

It's true they'll probably kill us all, but what the heck... so worth it.
LOL

What a great 55!! Have a good weekend!

Otin: Glad to hear you got the link thing to work. :)

Hootin'Anni: Your winter 55 was lovely, with the snow and the bird gathering seeds.

Brian: I love Fruity Pebbles too! Just keep repeating to yourself, "They're part of a balanced breakfast... they're part of a balanced breakfast..."

TallKay: Fruity Pebbles only kill you if you mix them with cyanide first. Double check before you eat them.

ChefKar: Oooh, I love Lucky Charms too. I hate granola, but I do enjoy "healthful" stuff like shredded wheat sometimes.

G-man: Good point about the raw carrot! And thank you for feeding my ego. :)

MlkeKilgore: Love it! Yes, make the coroner awestruck. :)

Dulce: Oh, rest assured I usually don't get anywhere near this amount of comments. Usually I'm lucky if I reach ten. :(

VE: Could you move a little to the left, please? You're blocking the camera.

EnchantedOak: Thanks for visiting! :)

Mona: Ohhh, I hope not. I'll miss hot fudge sundaes. The frozen creamy ice cream, the smooth thick hot fudge... They'll never figure out how to condense that into a decent pill. :)

MamaZen: Whew! Thank you! :)

Dr.John: I like it too! It's one of my favorites. :)

Mr.Knucklehead: It does? Really? It's never done that for me... At least I don't think it has. Maybe I should look closer next time.

MikeWJ: Me too!

Susan: It is definitely worth it. :)

First time at your blog & I love it! So, I subscribed :)
Anyway, I believe all fruits & veggies are sprayed with pesticides already, so nothing is absolutely healthy unless you grow your own. But my fave it Golden Grahams...LOL!

A very health conscientious 55. Ed made the smart choice.

my teenager will not like this one!! she hates my healthy low carb fresh veggie, no salt cooking!! we even make sure to not buy bread with corn syrup in it. she is always screaming ' i love corn syrup!" so we bought her a bottle!! it is sitting in the cupboard. great 55 mine is up too

I think I'd be more worried about what's on the fruits and vegetables.

I won't do one of these posts because as Sammy Hagar says, "I can't write... 55!"

Janna said...

Colette: Yay! Welcome!

Nessa: Ed definitely chose wisely. :)

Clean and Crazy: My downfall is high fructose corn syrup. I'm trying to find tasty beverages that DON'T have it. And I'm trying to drink water more often, but wow, it's like pulling teeth sometimes. :0

Jeff: Really? I'm somehow more relieved when I do shorter posts. I worry that if I write longer ones, people will get bored. I like to think of my posts as crunchy tasty hors d'ouvres which leave you wanting more. The fried ones might also give you gas.

Jeff and Charli Lee said...

Naw, I could write long or short posts no problem. I was just making a lame Sammy Hagar pun. Nothing to see here folks, move it along...

You do these so well...

Jeff: It's ok. I got the joke. :) I just thought you were being slightly serious too. My mistake. :)

Grace: They're fun, challenging, and a quick outlet for creativity. I highly recommend them. :)
