Just me, rambling on while the wind blows

LOL.
I didn't realize I'd scheduled two "acronym" posts back-to-back like that.
Thanks for humoring me, you guys. Sorry if you'd begun to think things were getting a little monotonous around here. :)

It's been really windy tonight. Those of you who have been reading the Jannaverse for awhile probably remember why I'm really uneasy about windy weather. Every time those strong gusts start slamming around, I get really nervous.

It's also really hard to sleep, which is why I may be spending the night huddled at the corner of my bed, awkwardly trying to hum theme songs from 70's sitcoms in a fruitless attempt to distract myself.

Good night.

(**starts humming theme song to WKRP In Cincinnati**)

"I'm livin' on the air in Cincinnati . . . Cincinnati WKRP." One of my favorites.

How about . . .

"Used to be sad, used to be shy. Funny thing, the saddest part is I never knew why."

"Well the world don't move to the beat of just one drum . . ."

Ah, the good ol' days.

Yikes! I read your house post and kept waiting for the punchline. And then I thought, "well this isn't very funny at all."

I totally understand why you don't like windy weather. I've never had to endure anything even close to that horrible.

btw... I always use Three's Company when I need a sitcom theme song distraction.

What an amazing story. More so, because you weren't hurt (physically, anyway).

I've never had anything like that happen, but I hate the wind. It makes me irritable, and almost instantly.

Wind was a constant force in the work of the great Western novelist Willa Cather, who was from Nebraska, where it's basically always blowing, sometimes hard sometimes gently. A lot of her characters were driven mad by the wind, and I can understand why. If you like to read, you might find her work interesting.

Knucklehead: Ahhh! Alice! Different Strokes! I remember!

Jeff: I never watched Three's Company, yet for some reason I still know what the theme music sounds like! ("Come and knock on our door...")

MikeWJ: Waaay back in High School, when I heard the name Willa Cather for the first time, I thought people were talking about some guy named Willeck Hather. I thought to myself, "What kind of name is Willeck??!!"
Perhaps I've been driven insane by too many windstorms. :)

I hope the really bad winds don't hit around here until after Turkey Day.

Travis: They were here last week really bad. Bad enough to knock out the electricity for part of Hillsdale. My power stayed on, but I still heard some pretty nasty winds. :(
