People were outraged that this baby was shown in an unprotected playpen, but what they didn't know was that the baby would later be strapped into the safety of the bicycle carrier.

My kids are always begging to ride in the bed of my pickup truck. They'd probably have loved to go riding in that crib!

I'd like the teen model, please

Noooooooo! That's gotta be either faked or they didn't actually drive like that.

I hope.

Oh Muffy, have you seen little Fauntleroy? Oh there he is. Naughty, naughty. You get down from there this instant, young man!

At least if the kid gets car-sick....

Jeff: Now THAT would make a great picture. :)

Ren: If I was a kid, I probably would too. :)

VE: You like to keep teens in cribs, huh?

DK@Knucklehead: I bet there are LOTS of stupid people who would drive with a kid in tow. :) Either that or they had the crib in tow, and just stuck the kid in it after they'd parked. (The first scenario is more fun to think about, though.)

Subtorp: Sounds like you're having flashbacks! :)

Janna, obscure reference: Imogene Coca on the roof of the station wagon in "Vacation", classic( tho' she wasn't a kid but was in a rocker )...

Subtorp: If you mix all those obscure references with some flour and sugar and eggs, you could make one heck of a cake.

The Smiths read about the safety recall on their new playpen, but, frankly, didn't give a flying fuck.

Janna said...

Subtorp: Indeed!

Me-me King: Hee! :)

MikeWJ: They were probably busy looking at more interesting things, like tourist brochures and cheeseburger wrappers.

That would make the drive a lot more fun.

Marilyn: And it'll give him something to blog about, once he's old enough to be out of therapy.
