Things that did not happen last weekend

1. I did not find a million dollars in my driveway, despite wishing really hard and taking some extra-large bags to carry it all.

2. Neither did I eat any bacon. In retrospect, I feel really sad about that, and would like to make up for it by having two or three of these.

3. I did not dress in one of those big poofy Disney ball gowns and dance til dawn with a handsome prince. I guess that's just as well, since those parts of the cartoons always make me want to throw things at the TV anyway.

4. The monumental task of "catching up on laundry" has once again managed to elude me. (Perhaps I would have more energy if I increased my bacon consumption.)

Strangely enough you might get a million dollars if you find the right person to wash underwear for.

Whall: Hopefully I'll be able to find someone who doesn't wear any underwear.

Nobody left that million in my driveway either. We are obviously living on the wrong blocks. The sad thing about the Prince is that he was raised to be Charming not Sincere. Prince Sincere would probably be worth a dance and dress with fluffy sleeves.

After seeing that bacon thingy, I think my arteries just exploded! And I thought turduckens were bad!

Jamie: With my luck, Prince Sincere is probably gay. Again.

Subtorp: Amazing, isn't it? And yet I can't wait to try one...

How about some bacon brittle for dessert? You can buy it here or make it yourself, recipe here.

Grace: Bacon brittle? Really? Wow. I can't decide if that's disturbing, or genius, or a little of both.

Bacon. The food of the gods.

That bacon log looks super tasty. Deadly, but yummy. I'm glad you turned me on to this bizarre BBQ site. (You already know how I feel about BBQ. I have similar feelings for bacon.) I had the million dollars in easy-to-spend $20 bills dropped off in your driveway early Saturday morning to say thanks. You didn't sleep in, did you?

I'm forwarding the recipe to my dad who has a smoker, is about to retire, and I'm pretty sure has me remembered in his will.

DK@Knucklehead: So very true!

MikeWJ: Bacon AND hot sausage AND barbecue sauce! Three of the best things on the planet! ....What? Saturday morning? You mean that day I slept til about two in the afternoon?

Marilyn: My dad's retired too, but he's never used a smoker or a grill, ever, in his entire life. He does great with the "eating" part but is not exactly talented with the "cooking" part. :)
