Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
Things I did while house-sitting for mom and dad Friday and Saturday:
1. Watched at least three hours' worth of Spongebob Squarepants. I love this show. (I know. I know, I may have a problem). The theme song is still stuck in my head. It sounds so obnoxious, yet I can't stop hearing it... and somehow I still like it. Please help me.
2. Ate Stouffer's lasagna, baked in the oven. (Bleccchh. I will never have this again. It was awful.)
3. Wore my mom's bathrobe while I did a few loads of laundry. (It's ok; I only farted in it about 12 times).
4. Tried Mountain Dew throwback. It was ok, but unlike the Pepsi version I tried earlier in the week, it didn't seem that different from the original. At least it injected my nervous system with enough caffeine to keep me awake most of the night. (More time for Spongebob! And commercials! And shiny things!)
5. On my way back home, I stopped at McDonald's to get a large Sweet Tea. The drive-thru person was not listening very well. I kept having to repeat myself over and over (three times total), and they STILL ended up getting it wrong. They gave me regular iced tea instead of Sweet Tea. So I had to walk inside and complain and get it replaced with the right thing.
Unbelievable.
Even Spongebob could've done a better job.

Spongebob is awesome. I used to have to watch it for work, and really got into it.
I'm jealous that your McDonalds even HAS sweet tea. Mine does not. I asked once and completely baffled the drive thru lady. She was all, "We do have TEA but you put your own stuff in it." Okay then.
McDonalds has sweet tea? Not over here. We have taro pie but not sweet tea. I love that stouffers. Now I now I'm weird :)
Dude, when we hang out someday we're totally watching Spongebob.
What's your fav episode? Mine is the sailor talk one where they keep swearing, and the one where the jellyfish raid spongebob's pineapple
It's funny really, I find kids cartoons rather annoying, and yet at work I talk in a lot of different cartoon voices. There's an example of it in my blog actually. No, I haven't gone and recorded myself mimicking cartoons, just why I talk like them, and things I tend to say...lol.
As for Mr. Squarepants, he doesn't really bother me, I just find the show rather strange :)
That Patrick...he's my mentor!!!
You should have borrowed the McD's employee's robe and farted in it instead.
My daughter borrows my robe all the time. Not.Any.More.
Spongebob? Really?
Dammit, I don't even own a robe! Spongebob has been banned from this household since that uncomfortable episode where he and patrick came out as lovers. Or banned simply because the song is too catchy and drives me batty, either way works for me.
I liked the Pepsi Throwback, I cannot stand Mountain Dew at the best of times, so that one is throw-up!
DaOldMan: If only I could get paid for watching Spongebob...
WhisperingWriter: Wow! Really? I can't believe they hadn't even HEARD of it!
Thom: I'm afraid to ask what Taro pie is... I like Stouffers French Bread pizza, but that lasagna was horrible. The texture and flavor left a LOT to be desired.
Gwen: Yay!
Mr.Condescending: I dunno about my favorite of all time, but my favorite from this weekend was the one where he eats a ketchup-onion-peanut sundae and can't figure out why everyone runs away from him. He assumes it's because he's "ugly", but then he figures out the truth and he's so happy. He and Patrick run joyfully down the street, shouting "We stink! We stink!"
Skye: And I know he appreciates you calling him "Mr. Squarepants." :)
VE: I think my favorite is Squidward!
Mary: Hee!
Travis: Sadly, yes.
Nipsy: On one level, I find the song downright annoying. On another, I squeal with glee. Weird.
Mik: Yikes; I hope you mean a "toss-up"! :)
Where the hell do you live that you even have the option for Sweet Tea? I've only heard of this whole concept recently - this Sweet Tea thing. Where I live, it's called Iced Tea and if you want it sweetened, you throw a bunch of sugar in it. Or Sweet-n-Low. Or Equal. Or whatever. So I guess I would have sounded just like the clueless McDonald's person to you.
NannyGoats: Sweet Tea was invented in the southern US, many years ago. It gradually drifted northward until even the northern states learned to love it. I'm in Michigan, and all the McDonalds here have it. :)
McDonald's in NJ has sweet tea, too, in case you are ever in my 'hood.
DaOldMan: Excellent! Now I can officially add NJ to my list of "states I would be willing to move to if Michigan spontaneously exploded and I survived and could still travel without sustaining permanent injury." (!!)
Wow, we're like TWINS. Well, kinda.
Love spongebob
LOVE stouffer's lasagna from oven
Love Pepsi and mountain dew
Love Mcdonald's
The only think missing is how I feel about your mom's bathrobe and I think my lawyer said it'd be best if I didn't comment during an ongoing investigation.
Whall: Wow, yes, we could be twins... all except for the lasagna and the gender and your republican-ness and my complete ineptness with 90% of technology! Wanna trade places next Friday?
