Something to look forward to
One reason I'm looking forward to autumn is that I like burning scented candles. I know you can do that any time of year, but somehow it makes things seem hotter and more oppressive in the summertime. In the cooler months, though, a lit candle is soothing and refreshing. I love the ambience of a room that is filled with the scent of a fragrant candle.
Plus I get to freak out the neighbors when I dress in long black robes and walk around in the back yard at midnight, carrying a lit candle in front of me, chanting unintelligible things in a low voice.
It's a beautiful thing.

You have some regular candles too, though, right? Those are the kind I'll be needing you to use to drip wax on me...
Mr. Fab: Of course! Let me know when you plan to stop by; I'll be sure to stock up on them.
Oh i'm so with you on that! I am a candle FREAK! I was in Jackson the other day and went to the "mall" there and Hallmark had the new Fall Yankee Candle scents so my sweetie got me two..yay! lol I couldn't live without them..especially in the fall and winter..nothing like some good scented candles! :)
Candles never seem right in the summertime, do they? It's odd to try and do anything by candle light when it doesn't get dark until 10pm during summer.
Peppermint (Patty): I love how you felt the need to put Jackson's "mall" in quotation marks. :) LOL. Were you referring to Westwood Mall or Jackson Crossing?
Travis: And even after 10pm, it still feels too warm to have a "fire" going... even a tiny one.
well written, affectionate, and interesting blog.
I thought about including a link to your site on my blog.
if you ever get the chance, come visit me back
Best,
Simon

Simon: LOL. I love how you "thought" about including a link. :)
