Yes, Edwin, I WOULD like fries with that!!

This post is dedicated to Edwin Traisman, who died on Tuesday.
He's the guy who helped invent Cheez Whiz and McDonalds' french fries.
Read about it HERE.
Yes, he died of a heart attack, but he'd lived to the ripe old age of 91, so I doubt the fattening food had anything to do with his demise.
Go out there and commemorate him by ordering a super-size fries and dunking them in a big jar of Cheez Whiz.

I did my part by having curly fries and loaded potato bites at Arby's.

Yeah, but I'll bet Edwin didn't have green blood!

But can you imagine inventing TWO American Icons, like Cheeze Whiz and Mickey D's fries?
And since one person invented both, then WHY doesn't McDonalds serve cheese fries?

I noticed that BurgerKing has started offering chili cheese fries, but I despise BK's fries, so no amount of generic cheese whiz and chili rescued from Wendy's dumpster is gonna mask their hideosity.

Mr. Fab: That's the spirit! Although Edwin only worked with McDonalds fries, not Arby's... still, it's the thought that counts.

Morgen: Maybe Edwin DID have green blood and nobody ever checked. Oooh, now cheese fries sound good. BK changed their fry recipe a year or so ago, they're better now! Not soggy or floppy anymore! Try them!

And Edwin was a feminist. Before he came along we weren't allowed to work at MickeyDees... Who'd of thunk? Women everywhere can thank him.

Marilyn: Yes, I remember reading about that! I'm pissed that McDonalds used to have a policy against hiring women! Not that McD's is glamorous work, but it's the principle of the thing, y'know? So yes, yay for Edwin, who decided we were ALL equally qualified to ask "Do you want fries with that?"
