Morbid? Maybe. Sue me.
CincyDiva did a post last week which seriously made me think. Among other things, it addresses this real but morbid topic: If we were to die, who would tell our online friends? How would our online loved ones find out? Do we have a way of making sure everyone gets informed, should the worst happen? This made me send an e-mail to Morgen, asking him to please notify all the blogs in my sidebar if anything should "happen" to me. (I know, way to freak out your friends, huh?) But he said he would do that for me, so if I ever drop dead, you guys in my sidebar/blogroll will be getting notification from Morgen. Please wait 'til I'm actually in the ground before you start partying.

Talk about morbid...maybe we should create a website to post the names of bloggers who have gone to the big html in the sky.
Too bad April Fool's Day is already behind us...
I could've had some serious fun with this....
Steve: That's actually a good idea!
Morgen: Oooh. Ouch. That wouldn't have gone over so well, I think...
I have thought about this too. I sometimes wonder it about people who just "disappear". (insert X-Files theme here)
Mr. Fab: Perish the thought!!!
Lynda: Exactly!
This is actually a great idea. I used to have Steven Novak linked--he was hysterical. Now his blog has been almost toally taken down--only three posts and 'ads' left and I never heard why.
I don't think he croaked but it sure would be nice to know
Hmmm now I need to pick a blog buddy to be my 'notifier'
I've wondered about this too. Especially since sometimes bloggers just up and disappear.
I have a list of these at the very very bottom of my sidebar called "Let Sleeping Blogs Lie"
There's a few in that list who just stopped dead one day. I've tried to contact them but no avail. You often wonder what tragedy or whatever has become them.
Oh.my.dog, I just read Turnbaby's comment, Steven Novak is not posting anymore? I haven't been by for a few weeks. What's going on? Another one to move to the graveyard.
Turnbaby: I'm wondering about Steve Novak too! It's strange because it's like he disappeared on purpose; he took down most of his posts, and most of his sidebar. Strange!!
Irish Church Lady: The "Let Sleeping Blogs Lie" category is A GREAT idea! I love that! Can I use your idea too???
Oooo, Steven Novak's blog looks very eerie...like a vacant or abandoned house...
This post reminded me of when I went into the hospital at the end of February. I, naturally, called me dear friend Another Desert Rat who promptly e-mailed Morgen and Bond. They posted about my hospitalization, and then Matt-Man got in on the act and so did Sanni. Word got around quickly.
Believe me, Morgen will do the job if it became necessary for you (which it won't, BTW).
Desert Songbird: Novak's blog DOES look eerie... like a ghost town. It's frustrating to not know what happened!
