Manic Monday: Snap

* The best thing about the word "snap" is that it's an anagram for "naps". I like naps. If you like taking naps too, we could probably be great friends. Call me. Bring your own pillow.

* My sanity doesn't quite "snap" as much as it just stretches reeeeaally thin sometimes. My sanity is the thinnest part of me! Go on, measure everything... see? If the rest of me was as thin as my sanity, I could shop in any fancy boutique I wanted! I could even shop in the mall stores and get respect from the snotty little high-school girls who are a size quadruple-zero. (Which, ironically, is also their IQ).

* "Snap" is also an anagram for "pans", which for some reason makes me think of bedpans. Bedpans aren't quite as fun as naps. Though you could almost do both at the same time.

* Another anagram would be "span", which reminds me of C-SPAN, which I don't get because I don't have cable or satellite or anything cool like that. Go on, pity me. Take up a collection or something.

*And one last anagram for "snap" is "pnas", which is the lung cell of a freshly-hatched emperor penguin, with a special coating to... ...ok, yeah, I'm lying. There's no such word as "pnas."

Ha! Pnas! Well, at least it gave you the excuse to put a cute baby emperor penguin photo up. Oh wait, "cute" and "Janna" -- hmmmm...don't usually associate those things with each other...

Bedpans and naps at the same time ? Do you mean you p... in your bed ? Lol ! I almost gave up reading posts with this word for Manic Monday. So far I have only met two who wrote more than one sentence ! You and somebody else ! I think I will have the longest post and hope that nobody will fall asleep then.

Desert Songbird: HEY!!! I can be cute... sometimes... maybe, when all the planets are aligned, and Jupiter is... ok, I see your point.

Gattina: No nonono, I don't personally combine bedpans and napping, I'm just sayin', it could be done if someone was so inclined...:)

Isn't PNAS shorthand for penis?

Just wondering.

Good twist on the word of the day though.

Later Y'all

I'll remember pnas for the next time I'm playing scrabble. Good column.

Naps make life worth living. As do salt, chocolate chip cookies, and the musical stylings of Mr. Ben Vereen.

I used to hate naps---I always felt groggy after

Then I had surgery--the afternoon naps as I recovered quickly became my favorite thing

I miss them

Great take on the theme word

snap = naps
BRILLIANT!

On Easter, I took a delightful nap with all three kitties perched on me... well, it was delightful until someone yelled "HEY!" down the stairs at me... (don't worry, I didn't snap)

Cheers & two snaps up!
(okay - you get a bonus snap for the pnas!)

You had me going with the pnas. Then you dropped the other shoe. Great job! I off for a small nap now.

Haha! Cool post, Janna. I used to be a nap whore, until the real world (read: work and growing up) got to me, the bastards. :-)

Have a great pnas week! (I hope pnas is a good thing.)

I could use a nap right now. And if I had a bedpan....

Meloncutter: I was wondering if someone would make a pnas=penis reference! I figured it had to be either you or Mr. Fab. Congrats! :)

Bee: Naps are wonderful things! :)

Jamie: Yes, use it in scrabble! Thanks for stopping by. :)

Mr. Fab: I had to Google Ben Vereen to find out who the hell he was. :)

Turnbaby: I feel groggy in the mornings no matter WHAT I do, so I figure a nap can help even things out sometimes. :)

Morgen: LOL.. I had all three of my kitties perched on me awhile back too!

Lisa: Thanks for stopping by! :)

Comedy+: Glad you liked it-- thanks for visiting!

Danielle: I sorted through a lot of cute penguin pictures before I finally decided on one. :)

Lizza: Well, I guess if you use Meloncutter's definition (see above), "pnas" can be a VERY good thing! :o

Lynda: Multitasking at its best!

My naptime has evolved. So I've relegated them to days I have lots of free time, which is rare, but that way, I won't feel bad if I wake up and the sun is going down.

Cute! I liked it!

I play Manic Monday too but it's a different MM meme.

RobinsonK: How convenient! Waking up just in time for bedtime! :)

Irish Church Lady: Glad you liked it! :)

Anagrams! What a great idea.

Pnas should be a word, and your definition is good enough for me. Of course, if I ever go to vet school and flunk because the lung cell of a freshly-hatched emperor penguin is not called a pnas, then I'm blaming you.

Janna said...

Travis: Fair enough! :)

AMAZING GRACIE said...

Very fun and clever stuff! I think a daily nap should be mandatory...

Janna said...

Amazing Gracie: Yes! :) Thanks for stopping by! :)

Waht a great take on Manic Monday. My sanity also snaps. Sometimes I can stretch and get it back.

Janna said...

Natalie: I'm not always flexible enough to stretch that far!
