Warning: Diet Coke Can Result In Lousy Poetry

I'm sitting here writing my 55 words
Drinking Coke and imagining picnics with birds
They sing all the songs in their feather-brained heads
And are likely delicious with mustard on bread
Or sauteed with garlic on noodles with carrots
They've gotta taste better than rabid old ferrets
... Does anyone have a good recipe for parrots?
.

G-Man: Technically, the only question I asked was about parrot recipes. Do you have any?

Take two parrots. Defeather, setting aside the red feathers. Dip in Ranch dressing and breadcrumbs and shoot from a cannon. Retrieve. Sprinkle with parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with red feathers. Serves 150 smurfs.

You might find the world made more sense if you punctuated it properly.

Marilyn: The secret ingredient is the cannon, isn't it?

The Fifth Horseman: I doubt it.

nonamedufus: What a coincidence. Whenever I eat crackers, I always want a parrot.

Yvonne: Thank you for smiling and laughing!

Alice: No; it has to be parrot. Wouldn't it be neat if there were parrot McNuggets?

DoctorFTSE: Thank you! :)

Honestly... I think pigeon would work quite well. The horse barn has an overabundance of them and they look like they have a bit of meat on them...

Margaret said...

... but pigeon doesn't RHYME!! Hey wait....

They've gotta taste better than dirty water wigeon
....does anyone have a good recipe for pigeon?

wigeon - freshwater duck of Eurasia and N. Africa related to mallards and teals.
