Perhaps this is where V8 Juice came from

"Why are you putting all those vegetables in the blender?" Robert asked warily.

'I'm going to puree them and make popsicles so the children can eat something nutritious for a change!" Lori's wide smile and overly perky eyes showed that her mind had finally snapped.

"Come with me, dear. The doctor wants to see you."

Janna...
This kinda makes me wanna gag!
But you did capture the essence of the 55 today Perfectly!
Thank you so very much for playing. You are like an UNopened bottle of Heinz Ketchup, sitting next to a plate full of Golden and Hot French Fries.
Have a Kick Ass Week-End...G

Brian: Indeed it did! :)

Veggie-sicles! "I have a friend that might . . ." Don't we all have that friend!

Without Words is my 55 this week.

Thank God my mother never had a blender when I was growing up. The canned peas, lima beans and cream corn she served were bad enough. I think I was permanently affected.

My mom froze blended fruit to make
'chilly cake' cause I couldn't eat cake or ice cream! but veggies? Thanks!

love it,
very well fine tuned.

That's...sick. This woman probably has some great recipes for tofu smoothies, too.

As always, the funniest 55's are from the Jannaverse zone.

What a horrid Mom! She should be encouraging her kiddiwinks to weigh twice as much as they ought to - the way most people are these days.

Next she'll be hiding zucchini in the muffins!

I never thought of doing this to my three sons - actually, they were pretty good at eating vegetables. I like V8 juice - especially with a dose of vodka and hot sauce added!

Austin: I do! And he lives in New York! :)

nonamedufus: My sympathies! Just think how much worse it could have been if she'd added beets. (!!!)

izzy: Wait, why couldn't you have cake or ice cream?

Jingle: If by "fine tuned" you mean "didn't put a whole lot of thought into it", then yes! :)

Hedgewitch: Gahh! Tofu smoothies! Sadly, I know a couple people who would actually try something like that.

MonkeyMan: Shhhhh. It's time for your medication.

GautamiTripathy: Especially the ones who want their kids to feel traumatized every time they walk past a garden.

DoctorFTSE: She ought to be encouraging them to eat GOOD-tasting things instead of frozen plants.

MamaZen: Ack! My mother actually DID that with brownies once. *twitch*

RNSANE: I like it as a beverage with fresh cracked pepper in it. Once in a great while. In very small doses. :)

You just wrote a story about my wife, Kerry. Our kids hate her.

MikeWJ: I envision your kids secretly hiding stashes of Twinkies and Doritos under their beds...

hahahaha...bur seriously, why torture kids with veg-sicles!! EOWWWW!!!
Really, she needs to see the doctor.. for her "antisocial" behavior :)

ENJOYED your super creative 55, Janna! :)) Still getting goosebumps though (just imagining those veggiesiciles)!!
