Flushed with joy
After yesterday's misery, you will all be happy to know that my pipes are thawed.
I can now do all those things people usually take for granted, like showering, using the sink, and flushing the toilet.
(Think of me the next time you flush. No, wait....)
Actually, it turned out there were multiple things wrong. In addition to the bitter cold, I had electrical problems, plus problems with the tape-thingy that's supposed to continuously heat the pipes. It took awhile for the guys to sort it out, but they did.
It's all fixed now, as far as I can tell.
I am so grateful!!!

Good to hear you're back up and running! Hope none of your pipes burst.
00dozo: Thankfully, none of my pipes burst. :) Whew!
Yah! Nothing worse than flooding due to broken pipes.
Flush with Freedom!
MonkeyMan: I just hope the pipes stay thawed later on tonight, when it's supposed to get all the way down to 4 degrees F. (!)
I think they said the wind chill would be fifteen below. (!!!)
No damage. That's a relief. You must be living right. I think it was all those vegetables. Hey, good thing you can flush now!
nonamedufus: In the vegetable kingdom, there are scary bedtime stories about an evil monster named "Janna"... and then all the little baby carrots have nightmares about "vegetarian week". Bwahahhahaha.
It's like I always say, Janna: There's nothing like a little extreme hardship to make you appreciate the regular hardship that is everyday life.
MikeWJ: Very, very, very true.
Great. Now I will think of you everytime I flush.
Marla: That's all I ask.
