You can come out of hiding now. I'm done.
Sigh.
Ok, today was my very last day of self-imposed veganism.
I'm never, ever, ever doing this again.
Ever.
I hated it.
My brain never felt like it was getting any energy at all. I was hungry most of the time, even when my stomach was full.
Gah.
The irony is that I did it mostly for something odd to blog about, and yet none of you guys seemed to care much about it either. I got hardly any comments.
Let's turn over a new leaf tomorrow, ok?
And by "Turn over a new leaf", I mean "Eat cheeseburgers and breakfast burritos and pepperoni pizza."
I'm hoping there's also at least a few chocolate chip cookies under that leaf.
I may need more than one leaf.
Things I MIGHT hate more than a week of veganism:
1. Stepping on rusty nails
2. Bathing in skunk juice
3. Letting Martha Stewart see my bathroom
4. TWO weeks of veganism

Breakfast:
Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
Kiwi
Lunch:
Whole Kernel Corn
Tomato Soup (non-dairy)
Spanish Rice (meatless)
A few corn chips
Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
Dinner:
One Valencia Orange
Half-pint of Golden Raspberries
... (first time I've tried these. They taste about the same as the red ones.)

I have enjoyed Vegan week, with a definite "better her than me" enjoyment. So, yes, I did care. It's been a look into something I'd never try. Not ever. ;)
Whew. When you said turn over a new leaf I was a little worried. As you start back on real food a word of advice: Pace yourself, Janna. One fatty food at a time.
I also enjoyed vegan week. But I felt bad for you because you were suffering. I don't like to see you suffer. I wanted to send you a plate of delicious BBQ'd ribs with extra slightly sweet, slightly spicy Kansas City-style sauce, but I was afraid you would think I was being mean, so I didn't. I ate the ribs myself instead, the whole smoky rack, just to spare you the hurt feelings. That's how much I love you, Janna. I only think of you, never myself.
Shelly: Thank you for reassuring me that at least one person cared. I was really getting discouraged for awhile there.
(But all's well now that I can have real food again!)
nonamedufus: A new "LEAF"... LOL... I didn't even think of the vegan implications there. Oops! :)
MikeWJ: Your compassion is overwhelming! :o
