Various Thoughts

1) It's halfway through November, and I still haven't seen any accumulation of snow on the ground. This depresses me. I like snow.

2) If any of you have a spare USB cable for my printer, please beam it over to me. I'll send you some cat hair if you want.

3) Thursday evening I learned that if you have onion rings for lunch AND bean tostadas for supper, the results are quite spectacular. Next week I plan to try broccoli salad along with a dish of baked beans. I'll try to remember to report the results, if I haven't completely gassed myself out of existence by then.

4) While driving through town today, I saw three Amish guys walking into a McDonald's. There was a fourth guy with them, who apparently drove them there. I wonder what they ordered....

5) If the speed of light is so fast, why does it take traffic lights forever to change?

How long could you wait for the USB cable? I think I still owe you a Dilbert Book (maybe I don't) but I could stick a USB cable in there accidentally and ship it out on Monday...

Cuz I roll like that.

I thought you were setting up for a joke with #4..."Three Amish walked into a McDonalds and..." LOL

I love snow too. It's spitting rain and snow here today, and they're saying some lake effect accumulations by Monday or Tuesday. Yay! Hope you'll get some of it too!

Do the Amish have dietary restrictions? Begs investigation.

And Janna check this: http://slightlymordant.com/blog/2008/11/15/for-janna/

As for the gas experiment, it needs a bit of scientific method applied. That is, measurable results; perhaps you could repeat the experiment while wearing roller skates, and note how far you were able to be propelled.

Whall: Oooh, that's right... you were going to send me "Journey To Cubeville"... Tell ya what, if I still don't have a USB cable by Tuesday night, I'll take you up on that offer.

GigglePixie: LOL! After I typed it, I noticed how it sounded kinda like a joke intro. :)
Good luck with the snow!

Mik: I think the Amish can eat whatever they want, as long as it isn't electrical.
(P.S. Thank you for the fountain pen picture! :)

DaOldMan: Or I could fart in front of a candle, and take note of how many curtains caught on fire.

I think it must be difficult to be Amish or Muslim and have to wear odd things and have people expect you to be completely different, but you still do all the regular things everyone else does. Like I saw a bunch of Muslim women in full garb the other day buying hair colour. I didn't get that at all.

Meloncutter: Please don't get my blog all sticky.

Xup: Hair color? When they cover their heads anyway? Odd....

I thought you were getting all kinds of snow. Must be southern Michigan? I still owe you a sign but I have to figure out how to ship it without it costing too much... however I don't have an extra usb cord thingy.

Mary: There's a guy who comes and plows my driveway for me, thank goodness.

Marilyn: No, we haven't gotten much snow at all so far. It's snowed a few times, but none of it has stuck. Yet.
