It's the most wonderful time of the year!
That squeal of glee you heard coming from my bedroom last night was not, unfortunately, due to any moments of carnal bliss, but instead due to the fact that it was snowing out there! I could hear snow and sleet hitting the window!
None of the snow actually stuck on the ground, though. This is kind of sad. I'd had happy visions of waking up to a winter wonderland of white.
But nope.
It's all just melted into cold wet soppiness.
On the bright side, though, it's chilly and windy, and the sky is a gray monotone.
This is why winter is my favorite season.

Nice! Now I will have to wait until January probably before we see any kind of "wintry weather" here. *sigh* Some people have all the luck.
To each his own. I'm glad you're happy.
Square1: January? It takes that long? Really? How sad...
DesertSongbird: Thank you. :)
You are a freak.
Said with much love of course. ;-)
It was gray and chilly here too...unfortunately it was rain coming down. Ugh!

Morgen: Awwwww, winter is WONDERFUL... put down the axe... back away...
Steve: Hey, wait! No! Come back!
Katherine: It's wonderful!! Trust me!
I'm going to get a ticker like you had over the summer... It's the most terrible tiiiime of the year.
But I'm glad you'r more comfortable.
LOL!
We've already got overnight temps in the low 30's now too. But if we get snow it won't be until next month.
I'm with Mo here......#@%*%#!
It's tooo damn cold allready!
And it's only Nov.!
Yes. It takes that long. Have I mentioned lately that Tenessee sucks? Must have slipped my mind.
Marilyn: This is soooooo much better than summer. :)
Travis: I'm confused. I thought you lived in California.
Wayne: Not you too!!!
Square1: Feel free to mention it as often as you want. :)
very sweet post...
ur description of snow jus randomly reminded me of Pamuk's novel, 'Snow'. Though it's rather on serious notes, he has given beutiful descriptions of snow all thru this novel..
I'm from California, but I live in the pacific northwest now.
YAY for me!
GreenFodder: Snow IS rather beautiful! :)
Travis: Yay for you! Enjoy the snow. :)
