Manic Monday: Marble

Last week I got a letter from my friend Lee.
I read it, then put it aside to answer later on.
The next day, when I had time to answer it, I couldn't find it. I looked everywhere... couldn't find it.
Then, just a little while ago, I opened the refrigerator to get a bottle of redpop... and happened to see the corner of an envelope.
I stood there and blinked stupidly as I realized what I was seeing.
Somehow I had put Lee's letter in the fridge.
I have no idea why.
But there it was, nice and chilly, just waiting to be found.
This is further proof that I am losing my marbles.
And, if I ever actually DO lose my marbles completely, I will be sure to look in the fridge for them first.
.

POEM I WROTE JUST FOR THE OCCASION:
.
I lost my marbles
Can’t you tell?
I dropped them down
A wishing well
And if I find them
We will see
What other things
Will come to me
If nothing happens,
Well, my brain
Is quite content
To be insane
.

if you keep the spark of insanity alive, they can never control your mind and soul.

I´m sure I´ve lost my marbles, too. We could pool our marbles... just in case I´ll ever find them again =)

*off to the fridge*

Alzheimers is not forgetting where your keys are. It's forgetting what they're for! Congratulations, you're normal! LOL! THe fridge, love it.

You're kind of crazy. I like that in a person.

The soda didn't try to jump you again, did it?

If you don't misplace things, you're too organized.

LOL! I love the "I'll make sure to look in the fridge first"... at least you have a starting point!! I fear that I would just be stuck wandering in limbo forever :-)

Delightful!! It is a consolation to know that someone else refrigerates unique objects.

If you find out why the gremlins put your letter in the fridge would you ask how my shoes ended up there as well?

Ha--I never know where I will find things either. Glad you found the letter.

So you found a letter in your...um...where did you find it?

That's one cool story Janna.
At least you got a letter from Lee!
Even if you had to put it into cold storage!

...nothing wrong with a little insanity ... and any excuse to look in the refrigerator is a good one!

My Manic Monday post on the Electronic Village takes the marble theme into African American history.

Happy MM! Villager

the fridge is a perfectly good place to put a letter! I will have to remember that one for something I don't want to lose. :-)
happy mm!

Bond: Very true!

Mr. Fab: Look at the pretty voices! Will you be my friend?

Sanni: Look in the back corner of the fridge, behind the fuzzy yogurt.

Nancy: Oh, believe me, I know... my grandmother has Alzheimer's.

Christine: Half-eaten? Nah, I never leave blueberries half-eaten. :)

Bee: Thanks for your support!

Lynda: I think the letter explained to the soda that I really am a nice person and I don't deserve to be ambushed.

Aisby: I've never been accused of being "too organized". :)

The108: I'm familiar with limbo too... feels like I spend a lot of time there lately. But at least the rent is cheap and the tacos are good.

Jamie: Your SHOES? Really?

Tegdirb: It was a surprise!

Comedy+: Glad it was funny. :)

Matt-Man: The fridge! The fridge!

Morgen: It will stay fresher that way.

Villager: LOL... true, any excuse to look in the fridge is a good one. :)

I'll know when I've lost my marbles - that rattling noise I hear every day will stop.

LMAO.... I bow to you, Janna. What an awesome poem! A perfect fit for this theme.

Many of us have lost our marbles. I must wonder if they are all together somewhere out in the blogesphere.... hhhmmmm.

I love that poem - it struck a chord with me and made me chuckle.

As to the story... just a temporary moment of madness I'm sure.

Travis: Imagine how much easier it will be to sleep when that happens!

Born2Cree8: Perhaps the blogosphere is full of stray marbles whooshing around like miniature comets....

TopChamp: Here's hoping it was just temporary madness! :)
