Manic Monday: Sunny

ODE TO "MORNING PEOPLE":

Some people are cheerfully sunny
Their morning's full of bright surprise
Let's cover them naked in honey
As fire ants crawl up their thighs
Leaving them slightly less cheery
But maybe not completely dead
So the rest of us, tired and bleary
Can get our asses back in bed
.

I am setting here sucking down coffee at this blasted early hour of the morning and you post a poem with a cheerful first couple of lines. You could have started with cheerful people need to die die die die die. I would have felt better.

I got gas too.

Later Y'all

How very Ogden Nash! I love it! Sadly, I am one of those orning people. I inherited it from my mother. My dad said it was a food thing they did not sleep together before they got married cuz it might not have happened. My mom is uber-cheerful in the morning!

Of course I can't type very well in the morning but I am really happy about it!

Ah, the sentiment just flows like...well, like honey...from the beautiful tones of your poetry. Don't hold back how you really feel, though! :-)

Janna, dear, don't hate me because I'm a morning person!

I am totally not a morning person. Unless you mean before I got to bed at 2 in the morning.

I was ready to kill my husband the other day with his chipperness. Of course, he was up a few hours before I was and it was 11 a.m....

That's still morning!

I am always sunny in the morning unless like today when I'm hungover...Cheers!!

Meloncutter: At least they got covered in honey and fire ants. Some might think that's worse than death.

Gattina: It is romantic, isn't it?

Mr Fab: You are beyond hope, my friend...

Bee: Not bitchy, just realistic! (And I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU SAID THAT).

Cincy Diva: LOL... Accggh, you're confusing me!!

Steve: My poetry kinda flows like honey AND fire ants, doesn't it?

Desert Songbird: We will get along fine as long as you don't come to Michigan and wake me up.

Lynda: That's RIGHT, 11:00 is STILL MORNING! Amen, sister. I concur!!!!!

Matt-man: I imagine it would be hard to be a morning person if one spent a great deal of time hung over...

Who pissed you off this morning? Great post. Once I figured out what was going on I knew some early riser was about to die... Happy MM, whenever you finally get up :)

OOPS! See my other comment LOL

Danielle: Super glue? To seal shut the eyelids of the morning people so they can sleep like the rest of us? That's cool.

Crazy Working Mom: Thank YOU for stopping by! :)

Comedy+: LOL... no one pissed me off. :) I just am not a morning person, and today I felt inspired to express that in verse.

Skittles: Got it. :)
