Continuum... continuum... continuum....

That sound you heard this evening was a hole being ripped in the space-time continuum as I co-hosted Pointless Drivel Live on BlogTalkRadio with the one and only Mr. Fabulous.
Be afraid.
No, really, go ahead, be afraid. I can wait a few minutes.... I'll just sit here and repeat the word "continuum" to myself over and over, 'cuz it's fun to say.
(pause)... continuum continuum continuum continuum continuum continuum ....
...Thank you.
Well, those of you who tuned in heard what my voice sounds like, as well as what I sound like when I am having a nervous breakdown.
I am accepting all donations of Xanax and Klonopin and Ativan (no suppositories, please), as well as suggestions on what liquor would be best to mix with them.

Update: I have finally talked myself into listening to the archived show. It took a lot of courage to click on that "Play" button. And, to my relief, I discovered that maybe I didn't sound as bad as I thought I did. :)
Maybe the universe can continue on after all.

Great kaleidoscope! You have a nice voice. Not what I expected but very nice.

I listened to the program after it aired. You were great. And, actually, you should give that program-ending discussion to host your own 15-minute program some thought.

BUT if you really think you need something like Xanax, Klonopin or Ativan ... you know where this is headed, I'm sure ... try Havidol.

I hear it's quite the wonder drug.

I am listening as we speak. In fact that is where I got the link from. Sounds like all your worrying about how you would sound was for nothing. Anyways, off to read some more posts.

absolute + klonopin = absopin. aka, guaranteed to leave you stuck flat on the nearest horizontal surface.

See? What did I tell you?

The reviews are in, and they are fabulous!

Sugar I thought you were great. You sounded the way I thought you would ---clever and funny as well. I did not get to listen 'live' because....well it's explained in today's MM

Good job!

Ive been working for BlogTalkRadio since its infancy at 3 weeks old, Ive done countless shows, and still can bring myself to listen to myself. I sound like a Jewish princess from New Jersey......Oh wait I am. :0)

Maybe I can interview you and we can stare at the play button together and contemplate the use of a drug not yet made to help me actually press it!

That's it...Get your own show! You'd be excellent and I would promise to have stalker trivia about YOU!

You are so courageous for hitting play and listening to yourself. I can't listen to any of the shows I have called in for, because I can't stand to hear myself. LOL

I can't download the clip, they say I need windows media player and I can't get it to download with my Mac. I probably can but am just stopping in. Even not listening in I know you were great. You just need to lie down, listen to some easy music and disconnect so you can reconnect. Girl, I highly recommend it. No artificial ingredients required, free and you may just fall asleep.
I am going try again when I have more time, I really want to hear your voice, sweets.
You need to get to know your strength, courage and wisdom, girl. It's all in there, somewhere...get to digging.
Be well sweets

Irish Church Lady: Not what you expected? LOL... what did you think my voice would be like?

Bobbarama: OMG! I can't believe you listened! Wow! Thank you for recommending the Havidol... now can you actually prescribe some? :)

Brilliant Donkey: Thanks for visiting and listening and reading!

Kittysimoney: That's what I needed last night to calm those jitters!

Mr. Fab: continuum... continuum... continuum....

Turnbaby: Thanks for listening! :)

Matt-man: Want my autograph?

Amy: Hello again! I'll have to think about that! :)

Steven: I shudder to think of what stalker questions you could have on me, since we've known each other since we were teenagers! :o

Lynda: It was hard to do, but I'm glad I did, 'cause I ended up liking how the show went after all!

Danielle: Hope you can find a way to listen!

You've got an AWESOME radio voice - seriously! And you did fantastic. YEA FOR JANNA!!!

Janna said...

Tug: Thanks so much for listening. I'm pleasantly surprised that people seemed to like it. In retrospect, it really was a lot of fun. Fab is a riot. :)

I've said it before, I'll say it again: You were great.
I enjoyed it immensely, and think that you found your calling.

Janna said...

Morgen: Thanks. :) For now I think I'll stick to just being a caller. Which means you might as well go sign up for your own show! :D
You know you want to.
