Various thoughts

1) Y'know those Cadbury chocolate eggs that come out every spring? Normally I'm not a huge fan of them (although the chocolate truffle one is good). Well, I was at the store last week, and saw some that were chocolate ORANGE. Yum! I love chocolate orange. So I decided to try it. Not bad! Not bad at all.

2) I was going to visit Morgen today, but the weather was so lousy that I didn't think the two-hour drive would be safe. So I just stayed home instead. Maybe next week...

3) Masochist that I am, I called into Mr. Fabulous's radio show again this week. I didn't sound QUITE as dorky as I did last time. When I listened to the re-play of the show through the archives, I again noticed two things:
....(a) my voice sounded totally different to me than it does when I'm speaking. It sounded more "girly," about an octave higher, and a lot more ditzy. Say it isn't so.
....(b) I seem to have some kind of weird accent, compared to everyone else on the show. Is there such a thing as a Michigan accent?? If there is, I must have one. My "R's" and "N's" sound different from the rest of the callers... I think. Those of you who have actually heard my voice in person, tell me: Do I sound weird??

4) I've composed two new pieces for the band. I'm thinking of having a three-movement piece, which means I need to write one more. These will have lots of brass solos (So far there's a euphonium solo, a horn solo, a flute solo, and even a tuba solo). (Cincy Diva is the one who requested the tuba solo). I doubt I will have these ready by next week, since I still feel like I have a lot of work to do. But we'll see. I'll keep you posted.

5) I am craving a cheeseburger. Must. Have. Cheeseburger.
