Heat, heat, my kingdom for HEAT!!

And now, for a few more supposedly "hot and spicy" things I've tried these past few days:

Snyder's "Jalapeno" pretzel nuggets: Not hot. Somewhere between mild and medium.

Lay's "Flamin' Hot" potato chips: They are NOT flaming. They're medium at best.

Santito's "Extra Hot Chipotle Salsa": Eh. It's ok. Not as much heat or flavor as I would have liked. Still, not bad if you dunk some nachos into it.

"Hotter 'n Hell" beef jerky stick: Ah-HAH, now this has potential. It's good and peppery, with a nice burn. I like it. In fact, I ate one about ten minutes ago, and my mouth is still burning.
I could handle a few degrees hotter, but still... good stuff.

Wouldn't it be nice if, when the label said "HOT" or "SPICY," it really meant it?
I know, I know, it's all relative, but still...
There oughta be a law.

your mouth is still burning after ten minutes and it's still not up to the jannometer test?
ouch!
why don't you just put a burning ember in your mouth and scorch away the two remaining tastebuds that you haven't annihilated yet?!?
seriously - ten minutes later your mouth is still burning and it's not hot enough????
grief.

Mr. Fab: It's about time they TRIED.

Cincy: If I can find them around here, I'll try them...

Matt-man: (*cough*) yes. I'm sure that's the reason. :)

Natalie: Yes, they are tasty. Just not hot. :)

Morgen: There's always room for improvement! I would have liked either a MORE INTENSE burn for those ten minutes, or a longer lasting burn, or both.
