Hot chocolate, the way it should be

Recently I tried Lindt chocolate-- the kind with hot cayenne pepper in it.

Really!

I'd heard about it awhile back from one of my friends. He liked it, so I decided I needed to try it too.

It's good, although actually it's not all that fiery hot.

People with wimpy wussy palates might disagree.

First you taste the chocolate, then there's a bit of a curious burn, as if you accidentally ate rat poison or something.

I like it.
(The chocolate, not rat poison).

Just imagine biting into a good chocolate bar and a hot pepper at the same time.
It doesn't taste anywhere near as bad as you're probably imagining. :)

I shared some with my mom, and she liked it too.

On a related note, I found this picture on the great interweb.... it's a "Russian Roulette" game played with chocolate. Eleven of the chocolates are normal, but one is filled with hot chili pepper.

This would be FUN to play with wimps. They'd cry out in agony if they got the hot pepper chocolate, whereas I would be squealing with glee.

Unless you really wanted to play a nasty prank on someone why would you have chocolate with chilli peppers. That's like putting peas in cheesecake. Yuck.

nonamedufus: I think people like it because of the unexpected contrast of flavors. It's really interesting.
BTW, if you put peas in cheesecake, you could call it "Peascake".

Some people go a little overboard about Glee, but I see you're taking it to the next level.

Uh, count me in the wimpy wussy palates category. I like my chocolate pure, not spicy. ;)

Whall: LOL!

Shelly: Aw, go on. Try it. :)
