Trombone players are weird like that

The Maestro met the reporter after the concert, giving him a backstage tour.

"Hey, why are these oboe players chained to rabid wolves?" asked the reporter.

"They sounded awful in the second movement. Too flat."

"And why are the trombonists being whipped with strands of fettucine? Wrong notes?"

"Nah, they just seem to enjoy it."

Remind me not to join that orchestra, I shudder to think what they'd do to a pianist...

Lets hear it for the boys in the band eh?
Weird, witty, whimsical, and wonderful Janna.
Loved your 55....
Thank you as always for the smile.
You are like an Ice Cold beer chaser, after a very harsh shot of Cuervo Gold!
Have a Kick Ass Week-End...G

Brian: Do you prefer the fettucine raw or cooked?

Peter Stone: At least you can (usually) trust that a good concert grand piano will always be in tune! :)

G-Man: I hate both beer AND cuervo. Here, you can have mine. :)

On my ToDo list today: Learn to play trombone!

Punk Rock...?

Janna said...

StanSki: Enjoy!

Changnoi: LOL! I'd love to hear what a punk rock group would sound like with oboes and trombones in it. Music critics would be SO confused. CD sales would go through the roof. :)

MonkeyMan: After reading yours, I see we could have noodles and fish! Which might not be as bad as it sounds.

Naughty but nice, eh! Gone for a poem this week based on the Etheree form created about twenty years ago by an Arkansas poet named Etheree Taylor Armstrong It normally consists of ten lines of unmetered and unrhymed verse, the first line having one syllable, each succeeding line adding a syllable. I added an extra row for the word count and the punch line. See what I mean here.

OK, this was driving me crazy. Who knows if it is accurate, but one of those "free translation" places on the web says that your last two comments translate to:

I love you the tribal. Ah, just off-duty and need to go to sleep.! ! take two

and

passers-by-you alright.. excellent BLOG

Huh.

Enchanted Oak: Swell and silly is my favorite way to be. Well, that and full of tacos.

Sh@KiR@ CK: You play the piano too? You and PeterStone and I should have a recital sometime! Although these days I much prefer playing french horn. :)

John's Comments: You've been busy!

Hootin' Anni: I love fettucine too. On a plate with alfredo sauce and parmesan cheese. And garlic bread. Pardon me while I drool!

Alice Audrey: LOL! :)

Grace: Things in the Jannaverse only make sense about 14% of the time. Slightly less on Mondays. And all days are really Monday in disguise.

PattiKen: I try! :)

Spam #1 and Spam #2: I could tell you were spam because the URL you linked to kept changing. And some of the URLs were, shall we say, "Noticeably Spammish".

PattiKen: Freaky! I'm always leery of deleting other people's comments, and I know we don't live in a world where everyone speaks English. Still, spam irritates me even more when it's in a language I can't read. I worry I'm deleting a "real" comment that just happened to be in some other language. But then I notice the links and the URLs, and yeah, they always seem to end up looking spammy. Sigh.
Thanks for translating, though. That was fun. :)
